Leonard Glazier, 88, of West Hartford, died Dec. 26. He was the widower of Joan Leopold Glazier. Born in Harford, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Japan and Korea. He was a longtime member of the Emanuel Synagogue. He is survived by a son, Michael Glazier and daughter-in-law Jody Brown; a daughter, Bonnie Glazier; grandchildren, Tracy Glazier, Amy Glazier, Tyler Debussey, Kyle Debussey, and Megan Debussey; and a brother, Phillip Glazier and sister-in-law Ruth Glazier. He was predeceased by a sister, Muriel Goldberg.

Dr. Henry Irwin Snider, 84, of Richmond, Va., formerly of Hebron, died Jan. 10. He was the husband of Dottie (Glaiber) Snider. Born in Boston, he was the son of Joseph and Gertrude Denenberg Snider. He served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant. He was a member of Keneseth Beth Israel. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Rebecca Miller and her husband Tim, Mordechai Snider and his wife Ruth, and Elliot Snider and his wife Chantal; his grandchildren, Zachary Miller, J.L. Ruth (Katzman) Schatz, 81, of Hamden, died Jan. 11. She was the widow of Bennie Schatz. Born in Ansonia, she was a daughter of the late Aaron and Tamara (Witkin) Katzman. She is survived by her children, Bruce Schatz and his wife Jane of Orange, and Brian Schatz of New Haven; her brother Harry Katzman of Ansonia; and her grandchildren, Matthew and Nicole. Betty (Jacobs) Jacobs, 95, died Jan. 8. She was the widow of Harold Jacobs. Born and raised in Caerphilly, South Wales, she was the daughter of Benjamin Jacobs and Rachel (Cohen) Jacobs. She was also predeceased by her son David Jacobs, and her two sisters, Lillian Levine and Anita Price. Joseph Gottlieb, 90, of Manchester, died Jan. 7. He was the widower of Edith (Fineberg) Gottlieb. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late David and Anna (Stollman) Gottlieb. He was a member of Temple Beth Sholom (now Temple Beth Sholom B’nai Israel) in Manchester. He is survived by his children, Marc Gottlieb of Manchester, Lori Gottlieb of West Hartford, and Scott Gottlieb and his wife Hiroko Muraki Gottlieb of Wilton; his grandchildren, Andrew, Katya and Noa Gottlieb; his sister Sylvia Sklar of Colchester; and several nephews and nieces. Harry Weinroth, 91, of Stamford, died Jan. 22. He was the husband of Luba Kerschenblat. Born in Sosnowiec, Poland, he was the son of Leizor (Wajnrot) Weinroth and Sala Rachia Wilczyk. He was a Holocaust survivor who spent nearly six years in a total of 18 Nazi concentration and death camps. His parents and his four younger siblings were murdered by the Nazis when all of the Jews in his hometown were systematically exterminated. He was liberated from Dachau concentration camp by the U.S. Army in April 1945. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Larry Weinroth and his wife Hillary of Stamford, Ruth Adatto and her husband Jerry of Stamford, and Seth Weinroth and his wife Dina Gardner-Weinroth of Southborough, Mass.; his grandchildren, Derek Weinroth, Marc Weinroth, Jake Weinroth and Nicole Weinroth. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Sofi and Frieda, and his brothers, Srulek, Alek and Josel.
